Nunn Design Pewter Findings are cast in the United States of America using the pewter alloy NL7. This alloy’s constituents consist of 95.75% Tin, 2% Antimony, .25% Copper and 2.00% Bismuth. The higher percentage of tin has always been the hallmark to indicate the higher quality pewter alloys. There is 0% nickel content within the Nunn Design pewter castings.Nunn Design Findings are electroplated in the USA using precious metals; copper, 24k gold and .999 fine silver. The process of plating is very involved and requires many painstaking steps. These steps add to the quality that Nunn Design is known for.
A stainless steel post is cast into the back of the bezel. A sleeve is used to cover the post during the plating process. The sleeve is removed and a stainless steel clutch is added to the post. The post and the clutch are made in the USA.
